Join us for a special afternoon with internationally acclaimed composer Craig Armstrong, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary film music.

Across a remarkable career, Armstrong has created unforgettable scores for cinema, bringing emotional depth and atmosphere to films including Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby and Love Actually. His work moves effortlessly between film, classical composition and electronic music, earning him a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and an Ivor Novello Award.

In conversation, Armstrong will reflect on the craft of composing for the screen – how music shapes storytelling, builds character and creates some of cinema’s most memorable moments. The event will also feature live music performed on stage by St Andrews music scholars and associate teachers, offering a rare chance to hear elements of his work brought to life in the theatre.
