After ten years apart, former roommates Chris and Lluis reunite in Scotland to retrace a journey that once defined their friendship. Setting out to walk the West Highland Way and the remote Cape Wrath Trail, they hope that thirty days on the path might help them reconnect with each other – and with the people they used to be.
As the miles unfold across the vast landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, old tensions and unspoken questions begin to surface. Chris remains tethered to the pressures of work and life back home, while Lluis is determined to complete the demanding 350-mile route and prove something to himself. In the quiet rhythm of the trail, conversation, silence and shared endurance slowly reshape their bond. Shot entirely along the route and in chronological order, The North is an intimate, reflective drama about friendship, time and the restorative power of walking through wild places.
